Barbara Douglas has been a nurse for twenty years.  Barbara started in medical billing and coding and continued in the healthcare field to nursing school. She obtained a degree as a registered nurse, RN.  Barbara has worked with the elderly, and disabled population.  She has experience in acute care hospitals, nursing home facilities, and doctor offices.  With her degree she began teaching at the college level to nursing students.  She later joined a nursing assistant program as the program director and oversaw operations with in the institution.  Barbara is also a BLS Instructor and teaches students/ non students basic lifesaving techniques.  Her position within the business in more on the clerical end.  She is responsible for enrolling students, following up on potential students, assists with student instruction, and organizes office paperwork.  She also, facilitates communication with the state accreditation body, clinical site, and other partnering business.

Anita Walker RN

Anita Walker has been a RN for over thirty years.  She began her healthcare journey as a nursing assistant.  Continuing to further her education and responsibilities, she went to nursing school.  There she earned her certificate as a licensed practical nurse, LPN and then registered nurse, RN.  Anita has experience working with the elderly, the disabled, and the abused/neglected population.  She has worked in hospital, nursing home, acute care, and public health settings.  Looking for a change in career focus, Anita, began teaching students to become nursing assistants.  She has over six years of experience instructing in this field of healthcare.  Within Transitions Anita’s responsibility is to, instruct the students in the classroom, skills lab, and at the clinical site.  She also works with students that need remediation and additional practice outside of class hours.  Anita is a BLS Instructor and teaches students/non students CPR.
